According to the latest statistics provided by the Korea Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (KOMMA), from January to November 2010, South Korea's cumulative new machine tool orders reached 31,816.88 billion won, an increase of 88.98% over the same period of 2009, 163,835 million won. Among them, in November 2010, South Korea's new machine tool orders were 324.426 billion won, a slight increase of 2.29% from the previous month's 317.15 billion won, and an increase of 82.48% from the November 2009 177.792 billion won. In November, new orders for Korean machine tools continued to rebound, but there is still a gap from the high point of nearly 400 billion won in the previous period. As the global economic recovery rate declines in the future, uncertain factors increase, and downstream demand slows down, the Korean machine tool industry generally shows a trend of high and low.

From January to November, the total value of Korean machine tools was 247.916 billion won, an increase of 62.29% from 151.832 billion won in the same period of 2009. Among them, in November 2010, the output value of Korean machine tools was 260.151 billion won, an increase of 4.09% from the previous month's 249.929 billion won, and an increase of 31.5% from November 2009's 197.82 billion won.

In terms of import and export trade, from January to November, South Korea's cumulative import of machine tools was 1.278 billion US dollars, an increase of 28.31% over the same period of the previous year's 996 million US dollars. Among them, in November 2010, South Korea imported machine tools of 136 million US dollars, up 3.4% from last year's $ 132 million, an increase of 12.85% from November 2009 of $ 121 million. From January to November, South Korea's cumulative export of machine tools was 1.479 billion US dollars, an increase of 37.84% over the same period of the previous year of 1.073 billion US dollars. Among them, in November 2010, South Korea exported 150 million US dollars of machine tools, down 8.99% from last year's 164 million US dollars, basically the same as last November.
