Wenzhou proposed "China Shoes Capital Headquarters"

Wenzhou’s implementation plan for the transformation and upgrading of the shoe leather industry was demonstrated by experts. As an important pillar industry in Wenzhou's economy, in 2009 the entire shoe leather industry achieved an industrial output value of about 70 billion yuan, accounting for nearly a quarter of the city's total industrial output value. According to statistics from the Municipal Economic and Trade Commission, there are currently 2,633 shoe-making enterprises in Wenzhou, of which 871 are above-scale enterprises. In 2001, "China Shoes Capital" settled in Wenzhou.

In view of the fact that Wenzhou shoe leather industry has low product quality, serious product homogeneity, weak R&D capability, etc., Wenzhou City regards “building a headquarters economy” as the main measure for the transformation and upgrading of the shoe leather industry.

It is reported that Wenzhou City plans to build a 100,000-square-meter "China Shoes Capital Headquarters" building in the Bohai New Town Business District. In Xiamen, there is a “Product Design R&D Center” and “Wenzhou Famous Purchase” boutique pavilion, which integrates product design, development and brand display, and provides one-stop services for the settled enterprises.

At the same time, Wenzhou City plans to relocate the existing Hetong Bridge shoe material market and the South Zhejiang shoe material market of Huanglong Trade City to the second phase of the China Footwear Headquarters Economic Park in the third phase of China Footwear to facilitate the development of the park enterprises. To draw materials and use modern logistics functions to “connect” the production factors in the industrial park to enhance the advantages and image of the entire China Shoes Capital Industrial Park.
