China Energy's silicon industry, which accounts for half of China's polysilicon production, is located in Xuzhou, Jiangsu, and is currently the world's largest polysilicon production base with the largest single investment. According to Lu Jinbiao, the company's current monthly production capacity reaches 1,800 tons, and 2010 production is expected to exceed 21,000 tons, which will account for nearly 20% of the global polysilicon market share. In June 2009, five polysilicon production lines with a capacity of 18,000 tons of Jiangsu Zhongneng Silicon were put into operation, making China the largest producer of polysilicon in Asia. It also caused China to break the long-term technical monopoly of the United States, Japan, and Germany in the area of ​​producing raw materials for solar cells.
