Huaneng Group achieved a new installed capacity of 3,171.15 MW with a cumulative installed capacity of 6,330.98 MW, surpassing Datang in second place. Datang retired to the third place, but it still maintained a leading position with the fourth-ranked company. . In addition to the five major power generation groups and Guohua and China Guangdong Nuclear Power, China Resources Power, Xintian Green Energy, Tianrun, Three Gorges, China Wind Power, CNOOC, Zhongshui Consultant, and China Water Construction all performed well. However, from the perspective of market share, the five major power generation groups still accounted for 56% of the total, a slight increase from the 55% in 2009.

In the field of wind power equipment industry enterprises, China Top Ten wind turbine power supplier rankings in 2010, Huarui, Goldwind, Dongqi, United Power, Mingyang, Vestas did not change the ranking compared with 2009; Gemeji continued to remain in the top ten; among the new top ten, Shanghai Electric and Shenyang Huachuang were added. The report believes that due to the generally optimistic view of the development prospects of China's wind power market, a large number of investors have influxed into the wind power equipment manufacturing industry and began to overheat. Combined with technological advances and significant expansion of scale, the entire industry is entering a mature and stable industrial development track.

The report shows that in 2010, China continued to maintain its strong momentum in the rapid development of wind power equipment production and wind farm development, with a cumulative installed capacity of 44.73 GW, which firmly occupies the top position in the world. By the end of 2015, the cumulative installed capacity of wind power in China will reach 100-150 GW.

The report revealed that the National Energy Administration has formulated a solicitation draft for the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan for Renewable Energy Development.” The goal of wind power development is: By 2015, the country’s cumulative grid-connected wind power installed capacity will reach 100 GW. The amount of electricity generated exceeds 190 TWh, of which the total installed capacity of offshore wind power reaches 5 GW. In order to realize the planning goals, China will continue to promote the large-scale development of wind power in accordance with the methods of “building large bases and integrating into large power grids”; strengthening offshore wind power technology research and promoting offshore wind power development and construction. Inland wind energy resources have areas of development value, and they are suitable for the development and construction of small and medium-sized wind farms.
