The cargo throughput in the month increased slightly and the cumulative growth rate accelerated.
According to the statistics of the Express in February, the cargo throughput of the above-scale ports in the country was 736.21 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%. Among them, the coastal port completed 52.31 million tons, an increase of 4.8%; the inland port completed 212.9 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%.
From January to February, the cargo throughput of the above-scale ports was 161.262 million tons, an increase of 11.2% year-on-year. The growth rate was 4.1 percentage points higher than that of the same period of last year and 1.8 percentage points faster than the fourth quarter of last year. Among them, the coastal ports completed 113.192 million tons, an increase of 10.3%; the inland ports completed 480.7 million tons, an increase of 13.5%.
The foreign trade cargo throughput continued to grow rapidly in the month and continued to rise.
In February, the port of above-scale foreign trade completed 264.85 million tons of foreign trade cargo, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%. Among them, the coastal port completed 223.98 million tons, an increase of 8.9%; the inland port completed 22.87 million tons, 17.5% year-on-year.
From January to February, the throughput of foreign trade cargoes above designated size reached 537.77 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%. The growth rate was slightly slower by 1.3 percentage points compared with the same period of last year, but it was 4 percentage points faster than the fourth quarter of last year. Among them, the coastal port completed 488.89 million tons, an increase of 10.4%; the inland port completed 45.87 million tons, an increase of 11.1%.
The container throughput in the month showed a small increase, and the cumulative growth rate accelerated.
In February, the container throughput of the above-scale ports was 12.179 million TEU, an increase of 1.8% year-on-year. Among them, the coastal port completed 10.75 million TEU, an increase of 0.8%; the inland port completed 1.246 million TEU, an increase of 9.6%.
From January to February, the container throughput of the above-scale ports was 27.9233 million TEU, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%, which was 0.9 and 0.7 percentage points higher than the same period of last year and the fourth quarter of last year. Among them, the coastal port completed 2,494,600 TEU, an increase of 8.7%; the inland port completed 3,018,700 TEU, an increase of 16.2%.
The passenger throughput growth rate in the month increased significantly
In February, the passenger throughput of the above-scale ports was 8.96 million, an increase of 13.9%. Among them, the coastal ports completed 7.47 million, an increase of 18.1%; the inland ports completed 1.49 million, down 3.6% year-on-year.
From January to February, the passenger throughput of the above-scale ports was 15.25 million, a year-on-year decrease of 3.4%. Among them, 12.75 million coastal ports were completed, down 0.6% year-on-year; the number of inland ports was 2.5 million, down 15.3% year-on-year.
