Rebar offer raised by 5-7% in 2013

After last week's price increase, Malaysian steel mill rebar quotes remained stable this week. At present, the ex-factory price of rebar 16mm and above is reported to be 2180-2200 ringgit per ton ($698-704/mt), and the rebar of 10-12mm size is reported to be 2330-2350 ringgit per ton.

Since the beginning of this year, the price of rebar has been increased by 5-7%. At present, most steel mills are watching the market demand and the price of raw materials.
