3. Key technical analysis

3.1 System Planning

The process design involves the production type, product structure, process equipment and technical level of the enterprise. It has strong dynamics and experience and is the most active factor in the production activities of the enterprise. At the same time, there are many professional divisions of cooperation in machinery, electronics, substrates, final assembly, etc. within the CAPP system. Therefore, the implementation of CAPP is a typical complex problem solving process. Enterprise practical experience shows that system planning needs to solve the following eight aspects: system objectives, functional requirements, architecture, working mode, business process, implementation steps, personnel organization and support platform. A full and pragmatic system planning is the primary condition and the greatest guarantee for the smooth implementation of the CAPP system.

3.2 Integration Technology

The integration of CAD/CAPP/CAM/PDM/ERP based on information sharing is the focus of enterprise integration application implementation at this stage. There are four main methods of integration between systems: (1) unified database to achieve data communication at the system level; (2) development of their respective interfaces, access to each other; (3) using dynamic digital switching technology (DDE); (4) neutral The way the file is. The first method is the most ideal, but the development is also the most difficult. PDM outputs the design BOM (D-BOM) in the EXCEL file in the specified format. After the CAPP system adjusts the parent-child relationship, it converts it into its own process BOM (P-BOM). This method needs to solve the problem of change synchronization. CAPP's material base library uses the method of automatic synchronization with the logistics material database to obtain material information in real time. This requires the logistics database to use a unified standard information model to ensure information reuse. The CAPP system opens its own data structure to PDM and ERP. PDM and ERP can read the CAPP process route, working hour quota and statistical summary information through the interface program.

3.3 Process design based on P-BOM

A BOM is a product structured information table that reflects the association information between materials and material items in a product structure and the evolution information of one material to another. The process management system takes the D-BOM as the source and makes necessary adjustments according to the process route to create the product P-BOM. The new BOM will be compared with the existing documents in the process database, and will be divided into three categories: borrowing, deformation and new design parts. The new process files will be designed according to the classification and submitted to the process management system. The management system automatically generates various statistical summary reports according to P-BOM, and outputs them to other systems for enterprise decision-making, material procurement and production organization. The introduction of BOM means that CAPP has evolved from a single part to a whole product. The CAPP system is guided by P-BOM and carries out various tasks around P-BOM. Process design is the process of P-BOM acquisition, adjustment, comparison, organization and delivery. The technical problems that need to be solved are the handling of D-BOM changes and the corresponding strategies of multi-process versions.

4. System function introduction

The 38th China Electronics Technology Group began implementing CAPP in 1997. Compared with the manual design, the work efficiency and quality are significantly improved, the design is more standardized, the pace of training for newcomers is accelerated, and the rapid response capability of the process is greatly improved. Through years of corporate practice and follow-up research on the latest technologies, we have a wealth of experience and deep understanding in the implementation and application of CAPP. Under the overall planning of the whole company and the development of the system itself, starting from 2003, the original system is upgraded. Figure 2 shows the functional modules and interfaces of the new system.

The process card customization system provides a standard process card template and establishes the correspondence between the process card and the database. The process design system provides the designer with a platform for process design with the aid of the process base library and the typical process library. The complete process documentation is submitted to the process management system for review and transfer. The management system is mainly responsible for the organization and management of product process documents (process process cards, process diagrams, tooling drawings, NC programs, etc.) and the management of systems, processes and interfaces. In terms of information sharing and integration with other systems: the system obtains D-BOM and change information from PDM, synchronizes material and inventory information from the logistics system, and extracts equipment and load from the production management system; Statistics summary report, material demand list, shop division information, process route, time quota, cost accounting and other information are output to other relevant systems. Based on the old system, the new system has great advantages in the macro description of product process information and enterprise information integration.

5. Prospects for the development of a new generation of CAPP system

5.1 seamless integration

In the process of implementing informationization, enterprises often find that sometimes the information flow between systems is not very smooth, and there are some problems such as repeated labor, poor data consistency, and low work efficiency. The solution is: establish a distributed three-layer information structure system of application platform layer/business logic layer/core data layer, establish a unified product working model based on unified database, and carry out the work of each system with product BOM as the core, all information Once entered, the system realizes the access to the database and the orderly, controllable, secure and convenient transmission and exchange of information through the intermediate logic layer, and truly seamless integration.

5.2 Intelligent

The intelligentization of CAPP is based on the scientific research and computational technology of the process design process, and introduces artificial intelligence technologies such as expert systems and artificial neural networks, using computer storage capacity and computing speed, by imitating and learning human experts. Thinking, the most likely replacement of part of the mental work of human experts, and the improvement and development of human wisdom. The key to intelligentization is to solve the process of acquiring, expressing and storing process knowledge and inferential decision-making algorithms. The core is to solidify the experience, skills and capabilities of designers into symbolic knowledge and stylized algorithms, and push the process technology to the real Engineering Science.
